Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To receive quotes, the quote tool needs to know your gender, age, general health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount and how long you want the coverage to last. Those six pieces of information are enough to calculate rates from carriers. Personal details like your name, address and medical history are collected only if you decide to submit an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes shown are rates each carrier provides based on the health category you selected. After underwriting, the carrier may confirm, improve or adjust your health classification, which could change the final premium. The quotes are estimates for comparison and are not guarantees or offers of insurance, nor do they promise any specific price.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you select Apply, you enter your name and the application system is prefilled with your answers from the quote request. The process continues through a secure application platform where you can pause and come back later. Your signature is completed electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), manages the applications throughout.
Will I need a medical exam?
Whether an exam is required depends on the carrier you choose, the coverage amount you're applying for and the answers you provide. Many carriers now offer accelerated underwriting that skips the exam for qualified applicants; the quote for each carrier will indicate whether an exam is required, may be required or is not necessary.
Is a longer term better?
A term length should match the period when your family would be harmed financially by your absence—years with a mortgage, years raising children, years with business obligations. Longer terms cost more each month but guarantee your rate stays the same for that entire period. The quote tool lets you compare terms of 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years side by side to see the monthly difference.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not ask for or store your contact information, we do not sell or share any visitor information with third parties, and our website measurement does not use cookies or trackers. The privacy page lists everything the site collects and explains who it is collected by.
