No-exam life insurance
Which applicants qualify for fast-track evaluation, how the process functions, and what occurs if you do not qualify.
Many companies now feature fast-track underwriting: for applicants within defined age and amount ranges, approvals rely on your application, prescription data, driving history and other records rather than a medical exam. Decisions often arrive within hours. Every quotation here displays whether an exam is required, potentially required, or not required.
What it changes
Bypassing an exam is not the same as bypassing evaluation. Your application information gets verified, and a policy underwritten on incorrect details can be rescinded within the first two years. If the underwriting process raises questions, an exam or lab work may be requested; the choice to move forward belongs to you.
Who tends to qualify
Typically younger applicants (roughly under 60) seeking amounts up to what the carrier defines as accelerated limits, without significant health concerns and without tobacco/nicotine during the past year or longer. Recent lab results from a physician visit can substitute for an exam at some carriers.
Should an exam be necessary, it typically involves a 20–30 minute session with a qualified examiner at a location of your choosing in the Desert Hot Springs region, completely without expense. For those in good health, an exam can actually boost your rating classification, so it is not inherently negative.
